Singapore FT = Singapore Football Talent
This blog aims to promote talented footballers from the small country of Singapore in an entertaining way.
We hope that some will catch the attention of scouts and earn a chance to ply their trade overseas in bigger leagues.

LionsXII kicked out of MSL. GREAT! So what's next? Here's some suggestions for the FAS (Which most probably will be ignored.....)
1. Disband LionsXII & CYL, distribute the players to S.League clubs except for those who can secure playing contracts overseas
2. Adjust the schedule and spread out the competitions to avoid congestion of games. Start with the S.League (Home and Away), followed by the League Cup and end the season with the Singapore Cup. Focus on the quality of the games, not quantity.
3. Bring back teams with long history like Sembawang Rangers, Tanjong Pagar United and Woodlands Wellington
4. Privatize the S.League
5. Move all S.League games to the weekends to attract more fans to the stadiums
6. Give S.League the same media attention given to LionsXII. S.League highlights on CNA, news of all languages please!
7. Market S.League games as community events. Encourage our MP and community leaders to attend and hope residents can gather at the games too.
8. Encourage foreign teams in the S.League to sign Singaporean players
9. Hire people with relevant experience to run the S.League, retired army officers
10. Consider having a 12 team league with the following teams:
(Current local teams): Balestier Khalsa, Geylang International, Home United, Tampines Rovers, Warriors, Hougang United
(Bring them back!): Woodlands Wellington, Sembawang Rangers, Tanjong Pagar United
(Successful foreign teams): Albirex, DPMM
(Maybe?): Valencia CF (Singapore) - Can promote the Valencia brand in the region, or satellite teams of famous European clubs
11. Consider filling the foreign player slots with the best Myanmar players. Having Myanmar stars playing in the S.League may attract Myanmar workers based in Singapore to attend matches and increase attendance. When the S.League started, I remember the key players of the Thai national team playing here and many Thai fans attend matches to see them play. Perhaps S.League can try this too.
